Support for BBC Sounds

Hi Nick,

I'm not sure if you're actively developing your Sonos plugin (hope you are!) but here in the UK, the BBC have now shut down their services via TuneIn and only broadcast via their own app/platform, BBC Sounds.
This means that to continue listening to BBC radio stations, we have had to add BBC Sounds as a Music Service in the Sonos App.
Sadly, your plugin only supports TuneIn so could you possibly update it so we can select stations from the BBC Sounds music service?

Many thanks,

Chris

Hi Nick,

I'd also be very grateful if you could add BBC Sounds as a music service to the Sonos App.

Cheers

Re: Support for BBC Sounds

Hey there. I've been pretty absent, but working on updating the Sonos plugin to work with Python3. It is a bit of a project for his as there are so many libraries I need to update. Once I have the base plugin working on Python3, I will look into your request.

Best,
Nick

Hi Nick,

Glad to hear you’re still on the scene and many thanks for your efforts and great plug-in.
Looking forward to an updated version in the future! :-)

Not relevant to your request, but I just wanted to rant about how annoyed I am with the beeb about this. They used to be great for making streams of everything available for free to anyone, but now they’re forcing us to use the crappy sounds app. Grrrrrrrrr. I just wanna listen to the dulcet tones of Ken Bruce.. why do they need to make it awkward?

Computer says no.

Is there any update on this? Definitely my top missing Indigo feature.
