Sonos Move power saving errors

It looks like the new Sonos Move disconnects from WiFi when it is running on battery power and it hasn't played anything for awhile. I think this is a power saving mechanism. It results in my Indigo Log Viewer window being literally full of messages that look like:

Code: Select all

If I launch the Sonos app on my phone, it immediately finds the Sonos Move and the errors stop happening. I'm guessing the app sends it some kind of wakeup.

Any ideas on what can be done about this? I'd prefer to suppress these errors.

Thanks,
Mike

interesting...didn't realise the SONOS app had that wakeup capability. Once its fully asleep it needs a button press to wake if just using AirPlay.

Bringing this up again in case it's an easy fix. When the Sonos Move is off the charger and goes to sleep, the error log starts filling up quickly.

I'm in the the process of migrating this plugin to a Python3 framework. Once this is complete, I'll look at back at at historical bugs and requests.

Great to see Nick here. The Sonos and Honeywell plugins are really important contributions to the Indigo community. Nick, thanks!

I'm about 1/2 way through the update. It is taking longer than anticipated due to the many external library dependencies - some of which have been deprecated. I will post the update as soon as I can and then work through some of the new asks.

Re: Sonos Move power saving errors

I would love to see this too, getting close to removing my Move from Sonos.

I also love this plugin. I likely won't move to the next Indigo version until it's supported.

You could be waiting a long time for @nlagaros to update it, I also would like his Honeywell plugin to be available for Python 3 but the last message he left was May 22, I hope I am wrong as that is the backbone of my heating.
