I just tried this and yes I am having an issue as well

I'll have to add it the task list to look at - I really don't want to do any more work on the Indigo 6 version.
As I mentioned I have started an update to make the plugin work with Indigo 7.
There is quite a lot to change as there are numerous server updates which can be amalgamated and the logging has changed as well.

I will look at trying to figure out what is going adrift.

fyi: I am using and will be testing against version 7.9.0 (or later) of the Logitech Media Server.

I know you'll look at this but thinking ahead......

Speech effectively comes from the squeezebox server i.e. not the device. Hence speech is per setup i.e. all music is stopped if multiple players .
Is there a technical reason for this? . I'm asking could different players have different speech?

Well different players can have different speech (or that is how it is meant to work).

If you have players grouped, then outputting speech to a player in that group should cause the speech to go to all grouped players.

The plugin takes the speech text, converts it to a "music" file , interrupts the current play queue, plays the speech and then restarts the play queue.

I thought it couldn't do that as I'm sure I read it's done at the server level - I took that as speech for 1 not unique for all . Goodie ! . I eagerly await your indigo 7 update )))))

As a thought can you in the plugin save the linked players . Alter them . Do speech . Reset them back to saved arrangement?
So for example the speech could follow you around the house if triggered by various movement sensors ))
