Good to hear you are all “reasonably” comfortable and most importantly safe and well. An unbelievable situation watching from afar ! And that is after a year of unbelievable situations.

Glad to hear you all okay in Texas.

Reporting in from Manhattan: I’m one month out from my second Pfizer vaccine (i work for Rikers Island/ court health systems). About of a third of people i know felt really crappy for less than 36 hours after second vaccine.

NYC remains largely shut down, and very much post-apocalyptic. I suspect the combo of poorly planned de-incarceration (bail reform + COVID releases), poor police morale (which i’m placing no judgment on), and a remarkable lack of non-homeless people on the street has all contributed to our stellar headlines. That said, I have little doubt things will return to normal here, based on prior experience.
