Safari 13

I've seen some chatter about Safari 13 that says it breaks legacy Safari plugins and requires all plugins to be downloaded from the App store.

One thing I've also noticed is that it seems to have broken OS X Dashboard Safari widgets, too. Now when I select "Open in Dashboard" in Safari, my content just says "Missing Plugin". I haven't found a workaround for this yet and I know that the Dashboard is going away in Catalina, so it's likely that Apple make not care too much to fix broken Dashboard widgets.

If anyone finds a workaround for this, please share.

Re: Safari 13

Just tried making a new dashboard safari widget with Safari 13.0 and it seems to work fine for me.

Running Indigo 2023.2 on a 24" iMac M1), OS X 14.4

Re: Safari 13

For an unrelated reason, I just reinstalled Mojave onto an iMac from the base installer and after erasing the SSD.
- Mojave 10.14.6
- Safari 13.0

Just tried adding web content to Dashboard and got the same result: "Missing Plug-in".
