The solenoid box photo also looked familiar - very similar to mine. Here’s a shot of the “other end” of my system to allow control direct from Indigo using two Fibaro double relays. Note cable entry from below to reduce risk of water entry as the enclosure’s outdoors

The push buttons on the bottom allow manual toggling of each valve - for the “lady gardener” who is reluctant (refuses?) to use the sprinkler control page

Very impressive. I half considered doing that route but instead went with a ready made Hunter unit. Don't get remote access but happy for it to run regardless of whether it rains or not. Might change if I get a water meter.
At the time I had a Vera so goal was to ensure as much if the house ran whether or not the Vera was working, and I wanted to avoid it not sending the stop signal and me watering the veg 24/7.
Now I know how stable indigo is I may change.
