Picasa on Windows replacement?

My 85 year old Dad just got a new Windows computer. For which I do most of this tech support, of course. We got all of his stuff transferred from the old computer, except Picasa. It's no longer available for download. So for now he's using the Win 10 Photos app, which isn't too bad. But when he wants to share a photo via email, it will only use the Win 10 Mail program. Problem is, he uses Thunderbird for email.

I tried, but was unable to figure out how to configure Win 10 to use Thunderbird for sharing via email. Anyone know how to make that happen?

Otherwise I need to find something else to use for photo management that will use Thunderbird as the email client. Any suggestions?

Thanks!

Did that. Didn't add Thunderbird to the Photos Share menu, or change the app that the "Mail" option in that list launches.
