Just have to think about the lovely times you had with them Jay.. that’s what I’m trying to do.

They’re all lovely! @eme jota ce .. I wonder if there’s a lot of cat people because we’re inherently more lazy.. having a dog is much more work (I LOVE dogs but I’m way too lazy to get up and take them for the long walks they deserve!) and of course home automation is the epitome of laziness. So perhaps the two just go hand in hand

We may need some data. The other cat correlation might be to independence and self-reliance; while the dog correlation (in my own case) is to rely heavily upon the Indigo Forum "pack" to keep my HA system fun and interesting well beyond my own capabilities.

Thought there'd be more dog people in this forum. Mine ... below helping me rebuild after Hurricane Irma.

Why not both?

I forgot to post my sister in laws car Matthew! He’s a grumpy little sod but can be incredibly affectionate when he chooses!



And my wife sent me one of me with my lovely little Zorro back in happier times... you can tell how thick he was from his blank expression.. the lights are on but nobody’s home!

That picture of Zorro drives home the choice of name, that's for sure.

Prof Richard Wiseman, of the University of Hertfordshire, asked almost 2,500 people to complete online questionnaires about their characters and those of their pets.

He found that many cat owners said they shared many of the same traits — such as happiness, intelligence, independence and sense of humour — as their pets.

But he also discovered that the longer an animal had been with their owner, the more likely they were to have picked up their characteristics.

Prof Wiseman said: "For years owners have insisted their pets have a unique personality.

"Not only does this work suggest they might be right, it also reveals people's pets are a reflection of themselves."

So what you’re saying is I’m as thick as a lamppost? Yeah actually.. seems about right
