Congrats! We've hit peak pet saturation point at our house with the 3 cats, 1 large doggo, 1 rabbit, 1 guinea pig, 1 tortoise, and more fish tanks than I care to count. Kids are leaving the nest over the next few years and will each be taking some of the pets (and all the fish tanks) with them, especially the one satan cat that torments everyone (pets and humans) in the house. Dog is definitely staying.

... so what you’re saying is you’re going to have more time for working on Indigo 8?

Congratulations on the new family member!

We recently added a rescue kitten, his name I did not choose - Chester - although now that we’ve had him a few months it seems to fit. I usually call him “bug” most of the time because of how much of a pest he can be. He was supposed to be our daughter’s cat, but he’s always in my lap, or on my side/chest depending on how I’m laying... oh and yep, the heart-shaped spot on his side is real.

Re: In Honor of Zorro (and other Indigo Pets)

So the night before last one of our cats came in from outside with a big wound on her side, limping and generally not in a good state. We rushed to the emergency vets and found that chances are she'd been shot at by someone with an airgun of some sort. Fortunately they were able to operate and she doesn't seem to have any lasting damage.. but ugh.. sometimes my lack of faith in humanity is just utterly justified. Couldn't have came at a worse time either for me.. I've been having a lot of debilitating anxiety issues lately (to the point I've lost my job over it.. although that really is more of a blessing to be fair).. so i'm very VERY glad I've got a good insurance plan on all these furry creatures!

Glad to hear the critter is going to be okay. Sounds like the last thing you need is for more excitement in your lives.

Hang in there.

I came here to drink milk and kick ass....and I've just finished my milk.

Thanks dudes. It has been one thing after another after another after another lately. But ¯\_(ツ)_/¯. At least I’m gonna be able to take some time off to myself the next few months and relax.. try and get though the list of things I want to get done around the house done and try and heal my mind.

Re: In Honor of Zorro (and other Indigo Pets)

That’s sick, I think I’d go douche bag hunting if someone did that to one of my pets! I tell my wife all the time that I’m going to buy land miles away from other humans and dig a big hole in the ground for us all to live in. People are worse now than I can remember in my 51 years of life. Hope everything works out for the best Durosity!

Having had an absolutely terrible several weeks here (unexpected surgery, family death, and also a pet to the emergency clinic), I can totally sympathize with you Durosity, it does feel like there's a big pile-on happening - just hang in there and we'll get through...
