A slack for indigo for integrated and instant messaging

Hi Guys,

Would it be interesting for everyone to use, or join a slack of indigo?
I saw that indigodomo.slack.com is still free.

Just pondering if other would be interested.

Re: A slack for indigo for integrated and instant messaging

Hi Henk,

I've been meaning to try out slack forever now, so this is a good excuse to do it. I went ahead and grabbed the indigodomo team name, and here is the invitation link to join. I'm a total newbie on slack, so if anyone wants to post tips, brief tutorial, usage or best practice guidelines then please do so. I'm not sure how much time myself or Jay will have to participate in the team/channels, but let's experiment with this and see where it leads.

Thanks for the suggestion!

Let me be the cranky one: https://dave.cheney.net/2017/04/11/why- ... unications
(This isn't open source, but I think a lot of the same argument applies).

The key paragraph as I see it:
Slack, et al, are based on synchronous communication, which discriminate against those who do not or can not take part of the conversation in real time. For example, real time chat discriminates against those who aren’t in the same time zone–you can’t participate fully in an open source project if all the discussion happens while you’re asleep.
Even if you are in the same time zone, real time chat assumes a privilege that you have the spare time–or an employer who doesn’t mind you being constantly distracted–to be virtually present in a chat room

Yes! A slack channel would be amazing! I use it more and more, in all my work but also to keep contact with different communities. Would be a really nice alternative to this forum!
