Best way to get non-digest data into Indigo

Before I pick a vector, just wondering best/easiest way to get around the digest auth barrier, which I plan to keep active:

1) Local Apache server that accepts webhooks and sends to indigo?

2) Sync’d subscription services (e.g. Dropbox) that are monitored on the server via Automator or an Indigo script?

3) Something involving the built-in IWS (I’ve seen references to this but don’t completely follow)?

4) incoming texts to Twilio?

5) incoming emails and Triggers?

Use Case: Obvs, IFTTT integration

There's already an HTTP plugin that supports Basic Authentication which you can use for IFTTT and similar things.

Email and Twilio also work if your data sources use email or SMS. Lots of tools depending on the data source.

Heck, I've got a Slack plugin that can receive messages posted to a bot in a Slack channel. ;)

Whoah, I read a lot on your httpd plugin, but I missed the part about running it’s own web server! This certainly changes things...

That's kinda all it does. Stands for HTTP Daemon (background process).

All it's capable of doing is writing values to a specific variable (or more than one at once). Be aware that the Indigo variable name will have "httpd_" prepended to the name supplied via the HTTP GET operation.
