How To Integrate an IR-Controlled Electric Fireplace ?

I have ClassicFlame fireplace for supplemental heat. It is activated with an IR remote. I'd like to get my smarthome to shoot it the requisite commands early in the morning so the space is heated BEFORE I wake (and before peak electricity rates kick in). Anyone know what hardware / interface / plugin combination might help me accomplish this?

I use a Bond Home: https://bondhome.io

I wrote a plugin for it.

I have used the Bond to control an IR fireplace remote. Seems to work just fine.

Yes, that one. The Pro version doesn't do IR.
