Check if it is raining

Hi all,

I have a Netatmo Weather Station and the plugin installed in Indigo, but it seems it is not possible to know if it is raining now
Which web services shall I use (without Netatmo WS)?

I live in EU

Well it depends.. do you want to know if it’s just raining in your general area, or are you wanting something that will physically detect rainfall in your specific area?

Yeah but I mean.. are you wanting to detect actual rain on your property, or are you just wanting it from a forecast?

Why not just create a trigger using one of the device rain states when it changes? If it's raining the totals will increase.

You could get something like this and hook it up to a dry contact sensor:

then you'd get an open/closed state you can use as a trigger to do anything in Indigo. I have one of these setup at the back of my garden to do exactly this, plus a further sensor that detects if there's anything on the washing line, so I get an alert if it starts raining and there's washing out.
