Run docker on my Mac mini

I have a docker instance running on my Qnap but now I want to run zigbee2mqqt to try our a zigbee usb stick and ideally my Mac mini on best placed in the house to have this rather than any of my raspberry pis.

I’m a bit confused about the various options between the native app or docker toolkit?
Priority is of course that it auto starts when the Mac reboots.

Or should I not and use a Pi instead.

I got a stick with an aerial so hopefully range should be good.
