Any real time temp sensors - non zwave?

I'm trying to add temperature and humidity systems to my system without using any z wave products. I'm interested in finding an IP based temperature and humidity sensors but can't find anything that makes a lot of sense. I've considered using inexpensive thermostats that simply don't control any HVAC, but just report temp and humidity. Thanks for your help!

Oregon Scientific does sensors that use RF, but not Z-wave. You'll need a compatible RF receiver, either an RFPlayer or an RFXCom.

For hardwired sensors, the 1-wire devices seem to be very popular, but I've never used one. I think they use an rPi hub.

What do you have against Z-wave?

Check out the OWServer plugin/forum as there are multiple options - both wired and wireless... though they aren't super inexpensive. Dave can maybe chime in with more info.

You can also do 1 wire with EDS and the OWServer plugin. That’s my preferred method. They have Ethernet and WiFi options available.

Nothing against Z-Wave really, I want something that will update more frequently, not be battery powered, and some of my sensors are out of range for where I need them. Thanks for the ideas!

Check out the PoE powered multisensor from Kentix. Attached is the output from these sensors.

Theses are not inexpensive.

Full Disclosure - I use them for my business - developing and installing building management systems.

I ordered one of those Aeotec devices to check out that would solve one of my sensor location issues. Thanks for the suggestions!
