Control my power curtains (has remote control and rj11)?

Hi,

I have a power curtain track that I open and close with a remote control. It also has a RJ-11 port on the motor. How can I get this working with my z-wave network? I have a z-stick and indigo. I'm looking to set schedules and scenes through Indigo. What z-wave device do I need to either learn the remote frequency or connect to the RJ-11 port. Thanks!

Here is a link to the product:

I'm not familiar with that particular powered shade system but clicked on your link and found that the manufacturer already has links to a Z-wave and Insteon solution to your question:

http://www.powercurtain.com/installation10_CL920.shtml The Insteon route would require additional hardware (Insteon modem). Quibino also makes a Z Wave AC relay that would work http://qubino.com/products/flush-shutter (no experience with this)

I think your RJ-11 jack is out for any connectivity to Indigo.

A third solution would be to mount an Insteon IR transmitter next to the IR receiver and copy the IR signals from your existing remote:

I am using the Insteon IR receiver for a newer Velux skylight that came with a powered motor and shade kit and it works great. Be aware that the Insteon IR transmitter is NOT fun to program.
