Control a wall plug outside

Hi all,

I need to control a wall plug which is located in the garden; the place is covered by a roof so it never gets rain/snow/wind; I wanted to use a Fibaro Wall Plug but I read on the manual the the operational temperatures are between 0 and 40 grades.

Any ideas on how to do it? (only Z-Wave)

Thanks
Marco

Hi.
I've used a TKB plug in module absolutely fine in a waterproof box outside before. It was out there for 12 months until I replaced it with a Fibaro dual relay module.

Re: Control a wall plug outside

I'm using Fibaro double switches in small weatherproof boxes to control my sprinklers via Indigo.

They have been in service for over twelve months now. One is exposed to full sunlight for most of the day and has survived our Aussie summer's 40 degree days (although sprinklers are relatively low load and generally only operate at night). A weatherproof push button allows local manual override. All cable entries are via glands - make sure you install these on the bottom of the box and provide a "drip loop" to avoid possible water ingress.
