Guidance please - two motion sensors controlling one light

Hi I currently have one insteon motion detector in our driveway to turn on the front lights when we get home, (hights controlled by an instteon micro controller). However when we leave the house the front light doesn’t come on until you get to the drive way some 5-6 meters away so I was going to add another sensor near the front door.

What is the best way to configure this for smooth operation :D

Cheers

It depends on what you have in terms of triggering available when you leave. If you're garage door is automated in any way you could turn on the lights that way for instance.

Re: Guidance please - two motion sensors controlling one lig

Thanks Jay

The garage door is too far away from the front door, so I need the PIR facing down the driveway for when returning at night and a sensor at the front door for when leaving. Actually I have a spare magnetic open/close sensor I could attached that to the security door and when opened turns the lights on but how is it best to set up the commands so the sensor and RF open/close work together so one does not override the other etc. currently the driveway sensor leaves the lights on for 10 minutes after movement.

any guidance is appreciated

cheers

Pete

I don't think they need any real cooperation, right? If one goes off, start a 10 minute delayed off command. Even if both fire, the light will eventually go off.
