Motion sensing during night

Hi all,

I installed last week a Fibaro switch to control lights in the bathroom during night (only if variable night=true).
It works without any problem when motion is detected but I am not 100% satisfied with my setup.

I have a motion sensor (Fibaro) in the hallway and when I exit my bedroom, the motion sensor sees me and switch the light on.
Then the light stays on for two minuts and the goes automatically off, but it could happens that I am still in the toilet
The motion sensor has also a "dead time" of 30s, if I remember correctly; it is marked as ON but does not send and trigger.

How can I modify my scenario?
I think the only possibility is to put a motion sensor in the toilet, right?

Thanks
Marco

Re: Motion sensing during night

try this:
motion sensor triggers with sensor ON
action 1 switcheslight ON
action2 delete old pending trigger action
action 3 delay 10 minutes, switch light OFF

Re: Motion sensing during night

Thanks for the answer :)
I will give it a try :)

Does action3 mean that light will be switched off 10mins later?

Re: Motion sensing during night

Yes action should be light off. I would also add 1 second delay for the delete old pending trigger action.

Re: Motion sensing during night

Uhm...that means that light stays ON for 10mins...that during the night is too much
I think I should combine Motion_Sensor OFF+timer.

So if I stay at toilet 8 mins it stays ON, if I stay at toilet 2 mins and at 2mins30s motion sensor goes OFF, it switches light OFF.
Maybe combining a timer device :)

Re: Motion sensing during night

You could do 3 minutes instead of 10.
