Push Notifications

I am trying to find an answer to a problem I am currently dealing with

Currently I am working on a solution for sending Push Notifications to my cell phone reliably. I have tried a few things like the Smart Radar plugin and Pushover. The problem with that is Smart Radar doesn't update quick and at time at all for hours. Not really sure why.

I have it currently set to send a push when my wife's phone leaves the home. Today we drove 18 miles prior to getting the push.

We have an action setup if both phones are away turn the foyer light on if its dark out. We were both home and it just turned the light on.

Anyone know of anything that works well?

So, you're actually looking for a more reliable geolocation mechanism - that's what will tell where your phone is. Notifications are a different issue.

Location services is an area of definite interest for us though we don't have anything to announce at the moment.

IFTTT is working well for me. I usually receive the email when I arrive home before I've taken my coat off.
