Hi Peter - sure, I'll add the option to v1.5 which Martin & I are testing at the moment. The reasoning was that people could use it to drive graphing etc but I appreciate it could be annoying if you weren't interested in doing that.

Thanks.

I've temporarily hashed-out the relevant serverLog() lines in your plugin. :)

Re: Plugin for NetworkOWL Intuition-pv sensor now available

I've just released v1.5 of the NetworkOwl plugin, which is available at https://nickandmeryl.uk/downloads/NetworkOwl/Latest/NetworkOwl.indigoPlugin.zip. This version adds support for the new version of NetworkOwl firmware which changed the format of the data it transmitted, plus adding extra granularity to the logging, allowing the user to choose a level of logging that they find appropriate.

Many thanks to Martin for helping to test this version!

Regards

Nick

Re: Plugin for NetworkOWL Intuition-pv sensor now available

I am thinking about upgrading my Indigo 6 to Indigo 7 but I am concerned on what features (Plug-Ins) I may lose ... does this plug-in work with Indigo 7?

Thanks,

Hank.

Re: Plugin for NetworkOWL Intuition-pv sensor now available

Hi Hank - afraid I haven't updated to v7 myself yet, so I can't guarantee it won't misbehave. Not expecting it to as the plugin isn't using anything particularly exotic but will need to check to be sure. Is on my list of things to play with over the Christmas break so hopefully should be able to give a definite answer then.

Regards

Nick

I'm running it on 7.

It's not thrown any errors in the logs, and the last updated date is current, but it's currently showing 0 - I'll double check that the figures change when the sun comes out later.

Hi Nick,
Sorry to bother you, i've noticed an issue with the plug in the last few days, its not passing all the information across, please see the pictures below. I've not changed anything, but did update the firmware recently from Owl - i think this is when the issue started! I'm now on version 4.1:560

Any help would be gratefully received.

Re: Plugin for NetworkOWL Intuition-pv sensor now available

Hi - afraid I'm unlikely to be able to look at this for at least a couple of weeks as I'm in the midst of arranging my father's funeral, but certainly firmware updates have broken things in the past. Could you be a bit more explicit about what you think isn't working please, as it wasn't immediately obvious to me what had failed?

Could you enable debug mode on the plugin please & DM me the contents of the log afterwards please? I imagine they've changed the XML schema again, so will need to see what is being received to adjust the plugin to suit.

Thanks

Regards

Nick

Re: Plugin for NetworkOWL Intuition-pv sensor now available

Sorry to hear that Nick. Take your time to get yourself sorted without worrying about indigo.

Once mwoodage replies I'll compare his with mine and see if I can spot the necessary code change.

Re: Plugin for NetworkOWL Intuition-pv sensor now available

Hi Nick,
Sorry to hear about the loss of your father - please don't worry about the plugin stuff, we'll work it out at a later date.

Howartp, i'm happy to leave this for now, its not important.

Martin
