Great News for Somfy Users

If you own battery powered Somfy products and are tired of buying expensive Lithium batteries, you now have an option.

There is a seller on eBay that is manufacturing a longer wand. So instead of using 8 AA Lithium batteries, you can now use 10 AA NiMH rechargeable batteries.

Conversion is simple, just use the old end caps from your 8 cell wand, insert 10 NiMH's into your new wand, and plug-into your Somfy motor.

I'm glad the solar panel option meets your needs, but it isn't for everyone.

The panels require sun exposure, and my windows are under a patio cover, so it wouldn't work. I also don't want the visual eyesore of solar panels mounted on the window glass detracting from the view that I paid for..
