On another note, old faithful is out cutting the grass again. Be interested to see how you get on with it!
I still have most of my boundary wire on the surface with just the tent peg type things keeping it down.
The spots where the mower chewed through I've now dug those underground.
You don't see the boundary wire after a few days.
Also a tip from my mistake. You need to run a guide wire from the mower directly out and across the garden which joins on to the outer ring of the boundary. So leave enough slack on the join so you have plenty to use when crimping it together. I ended up having to tug through another foot or so, annoyed!
I've also ended up buying more crimp connectors from Amazon for a few quid as you only get 2 or 3 spares. When a wire breaks you need 2 of them. 1 to join the break, but another to add some extra wire.
You could leave plenty of slack around the whole boundary but I worried too much about the mower snagging.
