MCO Home A8-9 Multisensor

Forum rules

Questions about hardware that can be controlled by Indigo (but not through the interfaces and plugins listed). If Indigo doesn't support some bit of hardware you're interested in, and you don't find a 3rd Party Plugin for it, add it to this forum. Be sure to include links to as much information as you can find about it.

Note: adding it here does not mean we're going to add it - in fact it's possible one of our 3rd party developers may decide to write a plugin for it. We add hardware/features based on a lot of different factors beyond just having a request for it.

MCO Home A8-9 Multisensor

I have one of these sensors and it pretty much seems to do everything on paper. Its reporting nicely in to the indigo log and I am able to split quite a few of the reports out based on the units (ppm, lux, dBA, oC, Micro-g/m3) but some of them have the same units which I have no idea what they are for like several reports contain % so I haven't yet found a way to filter them in to variables with triggers. Would be very nice if indigo supported these as I would replace all my sensors in each room with one. I currently have no way of testing the PIR compared to my current hard wired PIRs as i cant read that yet.

The only bad thing I would say at the moment about this is the screen is on constantly and it would be nice if it went off and came back on with PIR activity or even better for the cinema room...remote controlled.

Re: MCO Home A8-9 Multisensor

Hi Lee,

That is an interesting device – I hadn't seen or heard about it before.

Please re-sync the device in Indigo and copy/paste the Event Log window results into a reply so we can see specifically how the device identifies itself.

Re: MCO Home A8-9 Multisensor

Indigo 2023.2.0 is now available and includes support for the MCOHome Multi Sensor (A8-9). We don't have one to QA against, so let us know if it works for you.
