Indigo Domotics

Just picked up a Traeger wifi grill and, of course, would love to have Indigo control it.

Anyone have any info on what may be possible?

Congratulations -- those look awful nice.

It's going to require a custom plugin most likely. There have been other plugins that emulate app control by Indigo, but such things require reverse-engineering the secure connection and what not (I've never done one of these myself). Such things also tend to break over time as the manufacturers tend to change things.

My Traeger is the pre-Wifi model.

There's a complete HASS component on GitHub: https://github.com/sebirdman/hass_traeger

Unfortunately, it's Python3. So until Indigo supports Python3, it's very complicated to do a plugin, as I've already done it for a few other devices. And I don't have a Wifi Traeger to test with.

And they don't make a Wifi version of the grill I have, nor (that I can find) a Wifi upgrade for it.
