Secure 321-5 issues

Forum rules

Questions about hardware that can be controlled by Indigo (but not through the interfaces and plugins listed). If Indigo doesn't support some bit of hardware you're interested in, and you don't find a 3rd Party Plugin for it, add it to this forum. Be sure to include links to as much information as you can find about it.

Note: adding it here does not mean we're going to add it - in fact it's possible one of our 3rd party developers may decide to write a plugin for it. We add hardware/features based on a lot of different factors beyond just having a request for it.

Secure 321-5 issues

Hi,

just bought 3 of these (Secure 321-5 ) since i noticed other users was using them, at least srt321
Not so wise since Indigo doesnt play well with those i got.
https://www.tronika.no/en/smarthome/zwave-products/zwave-climate-control/thermostat-srt321-5.html?rewrite=termostat-srt321-5
It updates the temp and heat setpoint in Indigo, but not possible to control the thermostat with indigo.

i get send "Termostat - Loftstue1" decrease heat setpoint failed
SENT setHeatSetpoint: 01 0C 00 13 57 05 43 01 01 01 15 25 7B BB
RCVD setHeatSetpoint: 01 07 00 13 7B 01 01 98 08 (node NAK)

Hopefully it can be fixed.

Re: Secure 321-5 issues

Not sure where you saw that they were being used, but note that it's not in the list of currently supported thermostats. It's always best to check there and if something isn't on the list ask specifically about them on the forums before buying.

It is, however, already in the device addition queue, though no ETA.

Re: Secure 321-5 issues

I have a Secure SRT321 which is seen by Indigo as follows:

Code: Select all
Indigo Z-Wave Version: 2.0.124
Node ID: 109
Model: Radiator Thermostat (HRT4-ZW)
Model ID: 00010003
Manufacturer: Horstmann
Manufacturer ID: 0059
Protocol Version: 2.78
Application Version: 5.00
Model Definition Version: 1
Library Type: 2
Class Name: Thermostat
Class Hierarchy: 01 : 08 : 00
Command Class Base: 00
Command Versions: 20v1 80v1 43v1 84v2 85v1 86v1 70v1 31v1 72v1
Encryption Status: Not Supported
Multi-Endpoint Types: - none -
Multi-Endpoint Classes: - none -
Multi-Instance Counts: - none -
Features: battery, beaming, waking
Neighbors: - none -
Associations: 1:[] 2:[] 3:[1] 4:[1] 5:[1]
Config Values: 1:128 2:0 3:5

I can set the thermostat setpoint from Indigo (albeit the request will be queued until the next thermostat wakeup, as the device is battery powered).

It looks like your model is an updated version? :)

Can you both please submit the device information using the button in the device's config dialog? That will allow us to more easily get it into the compatible devices app on our website and, for the newer one @Asconasny has, to get added to Indigo (it has a different model ID so it will require some work to get into a build).

Re: Secure 321-5 issues

What I posted above is what was dumped into the log when I pressed the Device Edit button Write Device Details To Event Log. :)

Matt must already have these details as he configured it in an earlier version of Indigo?

Re: Secure 321-5 issues

I'm aware that it should queue the changes until it awakes, but it seems like the messages is not being queued at all.
All I get in the log is z-wave error - failed
Code: Select all
Z-Wave Error                    send "Termostat - Loftstue1" decrease heat setpoint failed
Z-Wave Error                    send "Termostat - Loftstue1" decrease heat setpoint failed
Z-Wave Error                    send "Termostat - Loftstue1" mode change to off failed
Z-Wave Error                    send "Termostat - Loftstue1" mode change to cool failed

I have submitted the info using the button "submit to indigo"
and below is the info for the button "write device details to event log"

That doesn't enter the information into our database - only by clicking the submit device information button does it get into our DB. Which is used to create entries in the Compatible Devices list on our website (as well as used for actually adding support). So, if you wouldn't mind doing it that would save us a LOT of typing (well, cutting/pasting)...

I don't mind doing at all other than I am having some difficulty finding the submit device information button :|

AFAICS there is only a Write Details To Event Log Button on the Edit Device Settings... dialogue.

Am I looking in the wrong place? :)

Re: Secure 321-5 issues

Hmmm - it's hidden when it's already been added and Indigo knows about it. Are you using a prerelease of the Z-Wave interface?

Re: Secure 321-5 issues

Not AFAIK - I am on Indigo 7.3.1 using interface version Z-Wave 2.0.124.

The SRT321 has been available in Indigo as a supported device for years (2014?) AFAIK. :)

Re: Secure 321-5 issues

Thats what i thought aswell, Didnt bother checking the supported devices list since it was people using it,
Srt321 have been available for a very long time. So it wouldnt make any sense it if it wasnt supported.
I understand mine is a updated version, so hopefully there will be added support for it soon.

Re: Secure 321-5 issues

What autolog posted is being matched to the Horstmann HRT4 device, which was added to Indigo 6.0.2. We also added support for the SRT323 in Indigo 7.0. We added support for the Horstmann Secure Countdown Timer (SIR321) in 7.2.0, but that isn't a thermostat.

I'm pretty sure HRT4 is the same as the SRT321. We'll get the model ID Asconasny has matched up against the HRT4 definition in the next release of Indigo.
