Black Cat (neo Electronics) Cat's Eye Sensor

Forum rules

Questions about hardware that can be controlled by Indigo (but not through the interfaces and plugins listed). If Indigo doesn't support some bit of hardware you're interested in, and you don't find a 3rd Party Plugin for it, add it to this forum. Be sure to include links to as much information as you can find about it.

Note: adding it here does not mean we're going to add it - in fact it's possible one of our 3rd party developers may decide to write a plugin for it. We add hardware/features based on a lot of different factors beyond just having a request for it.

Black Cat (neo Electronics) Cat's Eye Sensor

Black Cat Controls (https://www.blackcatcontrolsystems.com.au/) is marketing their own branded PIR and luminosity sensor. This is manufactured by Neo Electronics (http://www.szneo.com/en/products/show.php?id=190

It's main attraction over other PIR's is its compact form factor - about the size of a table tennis ball - and it is claimed to be available in US, EU and JP models

I have been able to include the device, and synch it to Indigo with some difficulty - I think as the need to keep it awake during the process! However Indigo does not recognize the device, and I would like to request its support. The reported details are:

Code: Select all

As reported in other posts, there is a whole range of Neo stuff that needs to be suported by Indigo if possible.

Thanks,

Re: Black Cat (neo Electronics) Cat's Eye Sensor

I have the Fibaro version, which looks like the same hardware;
https://www.amazon.com/Fibaro-FGMS-001-ZW5-Motion-Multisensor/dp/B01KOGDETI/ref=sr_1_1?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1505821885&sr=1-1&keywords=fibaro+motion+sensor
the one I got only seems to have about a 10 ft (3 m) detection range for a human sized object, which works out well for a hallway or over an entrance door, but not so good for a room.

Re: Black Cat (neo Electronics) Cat's Eye Sensor

I've added beta support for this motion sensor to this download. Unfortunately, it has different configuration parameters than the Fibaro, and the Neo version actually has different parameters than the Black Cat model. They all three are somewhat similar, but based on the documentation I could find there are differences. I didn't add UI for all the configuration parameters – just the main ones. Please let me know if the core functionality works (motion and lux reporting).

Indigo 7.1.1 is now available for download and includes support for the Black Cat Motion Sensor (ZWBCCE21S) and Neo CoolCam Motion Sensor (NAS-PD02Z).
