Sighthound integration/plugin?

After years of using securityspy I'm coming to the conclusion Sighthound is far superior. It's amazing.

I'd like to see indigo work with it. And for that the devs of both programs will need to work together. They don't have a public API yet, but they are working on it.

Thanks!

Yes that would be good, sighthound (aka Vitamin d video) is a great bit of software, caught my first thief with it last week.

Thanks for info about Sighthound.
I too, am a long time user of SecuritySpy, so any newer software that offers more improved features is worth looking into.

Thanks,
Toran

I finally had some security cams installed and d/l'd SightHound. It is pretty impressive software as it seems to be handling 4 hi rez cams and two low rez cams without difficulty on a 27" 2013 iMac.. Unfortunately it does not have applescript. Not sure what kind of API they use. Any further info on Indigo integration?

Also, for anyone who is using security spy or other s/w and has seen SightHound, could you comment on the capabilities of SH vs these other s/w? I think Sighthound looks pretty darn good but was wondering.

I just started using Sighthound (trial) and I'm testing the snot out of it and trying to get it to link up with Indigo....

Between the Rule Editor on Sighthound (to talk to indigo) and Python on indigo (to talk to Sighthound) this is becoming more and more interesting.

Using the "run the command" under the rule editor and creating a short applescript app for each rule. That short applescript app could then update a variable in indigo which could be monitored by a trigger to do other junk.

It appears that Sighthound will respond to Python (Which I still haven't had time to figure out yet) and someone has already written that script to control it. https://www.sighthound.com/forums/topic12398

Can one of the Python gurus out there write a plugin without a public API?
