Change in Insteon behavior

Running Indigo 2022.1

I have a scheduled trigger that runs at 3am to insure all the lights are off with the following actions:

turn off all lights (all INSTEON devices)
turn off "Great Room Corner"
turn off "Kitchen Cans Z"

The last two are Z-wave devices. However, it seems recently that all lights off turns off the FAN on the fan linc as well as light. Would prefer it not do that and I don't remember it doing so.

Code: Select all

2022-07-23 03:00:00.508	Schedule	All Lights off Weekend
2022-07-23 03:00:00.578	Z-Wave	sent "Great Room Corner" off
2022-07-23 03:00:00.796	Sent INSTEON	"David's Garage Overhead Lights" off
2022-07-23 03:00:01.260	Sent INSTEON	"Workshop Lights" off
2022-07-23 03:00:01.343	Z-Wave	sent "Kitchen Cans Z" off
2022-07-23 03:00:01.344	Trigger	Kitchen Cans Off
2022-07-23 03:00:01.660	Sent INSTEON	"Becky's Garage Outside Light" off
2022-07-23 03:00:02.092	Sent INSTEON	"Master Bedroom Ceiling SwitchLinc" off
2022-07-23 03:00:09.086	Sent INSTEON	"Master Bedroom Ceiling Light" off
2022-07-23 03:00:09.518	Sent INSTEON	"Keypad - Master Bedroom Fan" off
Stripped out Matplotlib warnings as not relevant and snipped to the beginning/end of the problem area.

I could set it up to turn off each Insteon light individually, but that's going to be painful. I have a 184 devices listed in Indigo (yes, that's not the number of lights, but does elaborate the complexity of my setup).

I have no idea what the right answer is, but as a work around could you add an action to the end of your 3 am trigger to toggle the fan back on?

That last device ("Keypad - Master Bedroom Fan") is the actual FanLinc or the KeypadLinc that's controlling the FanLinc?

I've been looking at this harder, it's the KeyLinc that you see in the logs.

However, the fan is off every morning when my wife gets up ~0530 and there is nothing in the logs to indicate it was turned off, triggered off, or scheduled off other than the Keylinc.

Weekdays, the evening off is at 1130 pm, weekends it is at 0300 am.

I tried to set up a 15 minute repeating schedule to request Fan status, but couldn't see an easy way to do that.

I have this same issue. I wound up not using the "turn off all" function and instead using 2 action groups. 1 action that turns off all lights, and 1 that turns off fans.

I created an Action group to turn off my Insteon lights. We'll see if that works.

I figured out the Keypad Fan log item above is a triggered item to keep the keypad in sync with the fan. So something told the fan to turn off (not logged) and that triggered the Keylinc Sync.
