Show Dependencies for Triggers linked to Zooz ZEN34 ?

Not sure if this is a bug or not.

I have sever Zooz ZEN34 wireless remotes. For each there are several Indigo Triggers, such as click up opens Z-Wave blinds, click down closes Z-Wave blinds, double click down turns off several indigo and Z-Wave lights in the room. Sometimes Device Groups are used, too.

Clicking "Show dependencies" on the ZEN34 remote does not show any triggers. Clicking "Show dependencies" on the blinds and lights and device groups that respond to the ZEN34 does show the Indigo Triggers that are triggered by the ZEN34, though.

Sample screenshots are below.

Thanks for the report. This is a known issue/limitation that we have on our list to improve.

I’ve a plugin half written that will show you this; I confess I didn’t realise the “Show dependencies” existed except when trying to delete an object.

The plugin doesn’t do triggers and schedules yet but it will by the end of the week.

Re: Show Dependencies for Triggers linked to Zooz ZEN34 ?

I'm seeing similar behavior on a ZEN71 where one type of trigger is shown as a dependency, but another type of trigger is not shown as a dependency.

If the trigger is based on Type: "Device State Changed" of the ZEN71, the options are "Becomes ON" or "Becomes Off". These show as dependencies.

When I tried to changed those triggers to Type "Z-Wave Command Received" with Up button pressed (On) or Down Button pressed (Off), they no longer show as dependencies.

I read that Matt is aware of this behavior as described above, but wondered if these facts might be helpful.

That behavior sounds correct (well, not correct but is the current state of things) – Device State Changed triggers are core to Indigo so the dependency checking can "find" them, but triggers that are Z-Wave specific are not currently visible (to Indigo's internal dependency checker).
