Indigo 2021.1 wouldn't start up without Internet

I had a power strip failure which took out my machine running Indigo as well as my cable modem, and the cable modem didn't come back. While it and my Internet generally were down, Indigo wouldn't start up - "Failed to get your reflector URL from the Indigo Reflector server."

Seems like a drag to depend on the Internet to get up in the morning!

Can you work around the issue by unchecking the option to use the reflector?

Maybe? But I shouldn't have to; I do in general use the reflector. Figuring out whether the network is there or not is a perfectly reasonable background task. Indigo already copes with the HA interfaces going away and coming back; it should cope with the network going away and coming back as well.

It should start up regardless of connectivity. What happen when you OK out of that alert and then press the button to start the server?

It starts when I do that, though the testing conditions aren't exactly the same as the conditions when I saw the error (I wasn't able to actually disrupt my home internet during the work day to test this, just one network hub). Restarting unattended at power-on is pretty important, though - did it actually start up under the hood while that dialog was open?

If the server was started automatically upon login, then yes it would start up. The blocking behavior is only in the Client, and only when the client is starting the server via the Start Local Server dialog, meaning you'd be sitting there in front of the screen.

FWIW, I have the Indigo server set to auto-start on login, but I do NOT have the client set to auto-launch. No need for it.

Agreed. Note however that even if you did, the blocking above wouldn't have occurred because the server would have started up independently of the client.
