Best Way to replace Z-Wave Stick

Hi,

I plan to replace the old Z-Wave Stick from AEOTEC (the black one) and buy the new AEOTEC Z-Wave 7 USB Stick as I am in the process to move to a bigger house.
At the moment I removed all the in-wall devices from the original location.
This is my rough plan:

1. Unplug the old stick
2. Exclude the device from the old stick
3. Include the device with the new stick
4. Plug the new stick
5. Select the device from the drop down list

My question is: when I plug the new stick, I assume that in the drop down list, only the devices included with the new stick are available? Am I right?
