Mac mini m1 8GB enough ram for indigo

is 8GB RAM enough memory for indigo and many plugins??

I am considering replacing my old Mac Pro 2012 with a newer supported Mac

although the Mac Pro runs at < 5 % load I can not update it anymore and I am afraid the hardware might give up after 9 years at some point.

The apple store offers used Mac minis M1 w 8G Ram and 1TB disk that are $180 off compared to a new ones... no 16GB used Mac minis

any advice is welcome

I just bought a new M1 Macmini with 8GB/512GB SSD. I moved the system over just about 2 days ago so I don't have a lot of time under my belt. It doesn't seem to have any problems running Indigo and my plugins. I use SecuritySpy with 8 cameras. It takes about 20,000 to 25,000 pictures and movies a day and seems to handle it nicely. One thing I've noticed is that it runs MUCH cooler than the Intel machines. It runs at about 85º F. My Intel machine was consistently running at 180º F to 200º F.
