publishing variables via http on port 8080.. Was working?

Hello!

I think a recent upgrade broke my ability to run queries like so:

Code: Select all
/usr/local/bin/curl -s http://myserver.name.org:8080/temperature/variable_history_1972797441
/usr/local/bin/curl -s http://myserver.name.org:8080/humidity/variable_history_251739398

... etc..

I'm sorry, I can't remember who taught me the trick, but it's worked for years of filling data away in an RRDtool database and I'd like to see it keep going.

There's nothing responding on port 8080 any more? And I have never used anything but the default port for the main server, but I have ALSO been running this simple http based query since December of 2018 according to my DB and script dates..

Just stopped working this week? Honestly can't remember if I performed an update or not..

I can't find a thing in the manual or preferences so far - I'll keep looking..

Thanks..

That looks like a query directly to Postgres, not Indigo. Did you turn off SQL logger or update the database.

SOLVED Re: publishing variables via http on port 8080..

:D

Thank you thank you! That triggered a long lost memory of setting this all up.. It depended on brew apache running, which, after an upgrade over a month ago, it was NOT.. (Wrong permissions the the PID file? What the heck?)

So, all my data scraping scripts are working, the RRDtool host is happilly storing data again!

THANK YOU for jogging my memory!
