Indigo email problems

I am having issues with the main Indigo email not working

I CAN get betteremail to work with my bellsouth account using

smtp.yahoo.mail.com
port 465
SSL
my email address

When I enter the same settings into the preference page for Indigo email the email does not go thru. I do not see any errors on the events page however.

There is a persistent msg at the bottom of the server..... Email Send connecting...

this seems to be a problem with how email is setup for the Indigo program since better email works fine.

Yes, the Better Email plugin is better than the built-in email (which we've expressed in multiple places on the forum). At some point we will switch over from the very old mail library we currently use to something like Better Email but until then we really do recommend using that plugin.

I'm pretty sure you want smtp.mail.yahoo.com not smtp.yahoo.mail.com
And I suggest port 587 (the default when you check the SSL option)
