unable to start script executor host for external script

My home automation has been running fine for years but now a few times a week all external scripts stop running and produce this error:

"Error unable to start script executor host for external script"

I can't find any rhyme or reason proceeding this failure in the logs.

No external scripts run again until I restart the server.

running server version 7.3.1 (Mac OS X 10.14.6)
client version 7.3.1

One suspicions thing is memory seems to be maxed until I restart. Running Mac mini with 8GB. (memory leak?)

Any suggestions on where to start looking for where the problem is?

Which process seems to be sucking up all available memory?

It happened again today. Same error. This time I caught it within 20 minutes of it happening. Memory was okay this time. Indigo is using slightly less than 100MB.
