Start Indigo Server to accept https connections ?

When I configure my Indigo Touch app to connect to my Indigo server, and I use https:// in front of the address, I get an error message : "An Ssl Error Has Occurred And A Secure Connection To The Server Cannot Be Made."

It does work fine when I change the https:// to http://

Is this is a setting I need to enable in the Start Server dialog ?
I'm looking, but I can't seem to find anything that relates to https or ssl

Indigo does not have native support for HTTPS over a direct connection, but it does support it when you are off your private network when going through the reflector service. Typically if you setup Touch via Bonjour this will be automatically configured for you.

It is possible to have a direct connection via HTTPS if you setup a reverse proxy in Apache. Several on the forum have done this and posted information about it if you want to go that route.

Re: Start Indigo Server to accept https connections ?

I'd love to be able to use the reflector service, but I'm based in Europe.
Each time when I tried the reflector service it was unbearably slow... made me think about the time I still used dialup modems..

I see that this has indeed come up multiple times over the last 10 years. Thanks for pointing me in the right direction.
I'll try the Apache route when I find some time (and courage :D )

Once you have Apache setup with a cert and HTTPS enabled, take a look at this thread.
