% of user base running 7.3

I see that 7.3 is out.

Given that, probably, most of us, are running an older version of Mac OS, i.e. Sierra, we tend to be a pretty conservative crew.

And I am more a coward than most, concerning HA.

What percentage of user base is running 7.3.

I tried searching, unsuccessfully, for anything to do with Indigo 7.3, so can't see if anyone has perorated an issue at all, in main use or Plugin.

Any successes or issues yet?

No issues here. Both production and development systems upgraded without a hitch. Production is High Sierra, development is Mojave.

I really like the built-in plugin version checking. I was surprised how many of mine were out of date.

We don't publicly disclose usage statistics. In general, however, you'd be reading posts about things breaking if there were issues because we have a LOT of users (and particularly the users that hang out here on the forums) that upgrade very quickly whenever a new release comes out.

So, given that we haven't heard much is most often a good sign. And I will say this: there are a bunch of people who have upgraded.

Re: % of user base running 7.3

Thanks guys

It is what I suspected, low number of complaints either means low take up or low issues.

I would have been surprised if it was low uptake :-)

I’ll bite the bullet...

Re: % of user base running 7.3

Running 7.3 since the day it was released, Rock solid like every other version the boys kick out. :D

Was running 10.11 and started having various issues with the Mac OS so decided to do a clean install and upgrade to the latest OS.

2012 Mac mini with 10.14.4. Zero Issues. :D :D :D

Running Sierra on a 2012 i5 mini here. I think I upgraded as soon as the announcement popped up and as fast as I could get to the mini. No problems at all so far.

Re: % of user base running 7.3

No problems with Indigo upgrades on two production Mac Minis - apart from a few of my control pages still referencing Matplotlib images in the 7.2 folders.

Rectified this by creating image and data folders outside the Indigo 7.X folders that (hopefully) will obviate similar issues in future!

Re: % of user base running 7.3

Running Sierra and upgraded to 7.3, and -- for the first time in about a year -- updated all plugins as well. A couple plugin related hiccups, but those were resolved in literally minutes (Thanks, CliveS!). No issues, go for it.

Edit: Oh, you will need to modify the Indigo Log Plugin (the deprecated web server plugin), to point to the new 7.3 directory for log files. But I think I'm the only one who still uses it.
