Re: Sudden Connection Issues

Could you expand on your setup? Remote access, at home, via ip number, via indigo touch service, ...

Re: Sudden Connection Issues

Wait - you have a static IP AND and a reflector? Why both?

Anyway, if the reflector connection is working, then the problem has to be related to your static ip connection in some way. Maybe your router is having some kind of issue with incoming traffic? What error do you see in Indigo Touch? If you just skip your static IP connection and use the reflector in Indigo Touch does that work?

Re: Sudden Connection Issues

Hi Jay,

Thanks for the reply, I have a Static ip on my server mac not on my ISP, If I connect via the reflector everything is fine, if I launch Touch, it finds my server but can't connect, it asks for my Username and password, this I input correctly but no joy. I then tried to manually connect by inputing my MACs IP again I'm asked for UN & PW, I input the same and bingo I'm in but only from within my LAN, I can't connect from outside my LAN.

hope that makes sense

Cheers,

Dave

Re: Sudden Connection Issues

Are you sure you only have one Indigo Server running on your Network? It sounds like the bonjour server isn't the same as the one running on the IP you manually enter. That would be the only reason the username/password would work for one and not the other.

Re: Sudden Connection Issues

Hi Jay,

Thanks for the reply, I only have one Indigo Server on my network, when I launch Indigo Touch no servers are found, I've quit the App, restarted it but no joy, I've I have all the boxes checked/unchecked on the Start Server box, i.e. allow remote access etc. I've checked my router and all the corresponding ports are open.

The only way I seem to be able to connect to my Server on my MAC is by the reflector in a web browser, however, yesterday I input my WAN ip? and the indigo port number into the "Manually Add Server" option in Touch and it worked (after inputing my un & pwrd) but now it does not work

Heelppp please, getting stressed out now

Regards,

Dave

Re: Sudden Connection Issues

Try temporarily disabling the Firewall on your Mac, then restart the server and try again.

Re: Sudden Connection Issues

Then, it's likely that your router is configured to block Bonjour (UPNP) traffic. Likewise, it sounds as if your router is behaving strangely since connections that sometimes work will then stop working.

Re: Sudden Connection Issues

Hi Jay,

I've looked at the settings in my router and UPNP is enabled, I can now access my Server from OUTSIDE my network by inputing my WAN IP and the Indigo Port number but these settings will not work from within my LAN although I can see and use the server from within my LAN with an iPad but not the iPhone, none of the devices see the Indigo Server.

Both iDevice are on iOS 9 with the latest update......Its driving me mad, considering it was working a few weeks ago and I've changed nothing.

Regards,

Dave
