Re: Post Pics of Your Control Pages HERE!

On mine, there's also a line you can't see here which is horizontal at 32°F -- then I can see visually when the temp is going to drop below freezing.

I may have to think about adding that - good suggestion.

Maybe I could combine the data passing under that line with the chance of precipitation being above the line to put a huge red banner that says "City will freak out. Schools will close. Nothing will come of it." (My fellow south Louisiana forum members will totally understand that).

On a serious question, your temp axis is a sliding / auto-generated scale for the low end? I was debating doing that versus what I have now with the absolute scale, but could not decide what I liked best.

Right. Mean temp plus half again on the high end, less half on the low end. This looks good when temps are higher, but it will be interesting to see what happens when the mean temperature value is very small. I can already see that this will be a problem if the mean temperature is exactly zero.

I have other charts that work off multiples of the standard deviation.

Pretty happy with this. I will post a couple Gnuplot scripts later to show my work.

Re: Post Pics of Your Control Pages HERE!

Not quite a control page and definitely still very much in development but here's my current project. I have always wanted a dedicated hardware interface for indigo, and here it (nearly) is!

Some features:
2200mAH LiPo battery - good for a couple of days heavy usage
WiFi connectivity - connects with TCP to cynical network.
Accelerometer - for wake on grab
Ambient light sensor - to adjust screen brightness.
20x4 Character LCD
8 Buttons + Rotary Encoder
QR contactless charging - Cos it's cool and eBay sells everything cheap if you don't mind a wait.

running off an Atmel Atmega 328 microprocessor.

The idea being that hardware buttons can be found in the dark without looking as opposed to touch screens (how often on dvd player controls do you press back when you meant down, or similar). So far it's coded to work for a few things we use a lot so it can report playtime and control oppo blu ray, report song title and play time in spotify, it control's the PS3 as well! I still need to have a circuit board made for all the bits on breadboard (gonna go underneath it all in 2 layers) and I also want to make a wooden leather and aluminium casing for it to sit in, along with a charge cradle with the QR charger in it. Will let you know when it looks like a real thing!

Dubbed, in this house anyway, the "Indigomote". Still needs some work!

Okay, that is really incredible. Nice job! You might just be getting some orders from folks around here!

Thanks for sharing.

Re: Post Pics of Your Control Pages HERE!

Thanks Dave,
I did think about producing something like this, it's pretty specific to my setup here but I'm sure it could be programmable more easily. Maybe an SD card with config files on it.

I know you can get 4 button remotes with zwave etc but I really don't know anything else like this other than perhaps Control 4's sr250. I Would love to make a version with a proper screen with ability for album artwork and such, but I guess it's just called an iPad.

I'm working on WiFi devices powered from USB / battery that have an IR emitter in them for TV control so may have a go at marketing those first :-p

Thanks. For the rooms we changed the layout downstairs. I used HomeDesign3D on the iPad to design what I wanted and show builders. So for the control page all the hard work was done :)

I use the sonos plug in for the artwork so just put this URL as a refreshing image URL:

file:///Library/Application%20Support/Perceptive%20Automation/images/Sonos/Kitchen_art.jpg

Re: Post Pics of Your Control Pages HERE!

Nice they look sweet, I don't have all that many devices hooked up to indigo so i have never really felt the need to make a floor plan based control page as of yet but each time I see one on here I'm tempted.

I asked about the artwork as I have a currently broken script for loading the artwork from the spotify application.

Matt - do you control spotify from your control page? If so how do you do that?

Cheers!
