Re: Z-wave on sale today at MonoPrice

I have monoprice door/window inserts, and both types of motion sensors and they work great. Didn't need the receptacles but I bet they work fine.

It is probably sending commands you can catch with the Match Raw Bytes trigger type. Turn on the debug logging checkbox (via the Interfaces->Z-Wave->Configure... menu item), then open/close the door/window a few times and copy/paste the Event Log results into a reply for me.

Re: Z-wave on sale today at MonoPrice

There are a couple of approaches you can take to get this working now (we'll get a device definition added to a future version of Indigo as well):

One is that you could use the Match Raw Packet trigger type (after selecting Z-Wave Command Received), and choose your device in the From popup menu. For the open trigger try a Match Bytes field like this:

* 0x71 0x05 0x00 0x00 0x00 0xFF 0x06 0x16 *

And for the close trigger try:

* 0x71 0x05 0x00 0x00 0x00 0xFF 0x06 0x17 *

Alternatively, you could use Peter's Zwave Lock Manager plugin. It can be used with Z-Wave door/window sensors as well as locks.

Re: Z-wave on sale today at MonoPrice

Thanks Matt - BTW - will that be the same command for the other 4 and will matching the command received change the status of the actual device - I think it did not last time I did something like that?

Re: Z-wave on sale today at MonoPrice

Yes, same command will work for all of them. It won't change the device state.
