Texecom connect

You could hook fibaro universal sensors up to the motion sensors and get instant response. More cost but still get a rock solid alarm.

In practise the delay is probably only 1-3 seconds.

Actually I just checked and it polls the panel every second. The delay after that is with indigo processing.

I was getting confused with the Vera plugin Alan also wrote that was much slower.

Re: Texecom connect

Which reminds me. I have a spare universal sensor. I might play with that myself.

Re: Texecom connect

The Vera plugin polling rate was limited by Vera’s pathetic processing power. No such issues with Macs. :)

Re: Texecom connect

Yeah I could but that’s just more cost.. and effort.. and devices in indigo.. at the moment my mission is trying to simplify and stabilise my current setup.. so even a 1-3 second delay won’t work for me.. darnit!

Re: Texecom connect

Yeah it’s not ideal, but as you say it's extra cost to make it instant, and I'd rather the functionality of the texecom over those few seconds.
Actually I wonder if I could use one those network 8 relay devices to spot the current when motion triggered? Would be more cost effective.

Re: Texecom connect

Can this detect current as well as turn a device on and off?
