9.99 - smart plug

At that price point -- Ikea is going to shake things up a bit :-)

Re: 9.99 - smart plug

Definitely a possible game changer.

I need to sit down and fully integrate the Insteon content into Homekit.... Then maybe I'll look into that...

Re: 9.99 - smart plug

My guess is that the plug is Zigbee (as are it's bulbs), so there might be a couple of ways to get to it. First, the plug might be able to be added to the Hue Hub, and if so then theoretically the Hue plugin could talk to it. The second option would be to write a plugin that talks to Ikea's Gateway Hub (similar to the Hue Hub). I haven't looked to see if there's a public API for it or if someone has reverse engineered the API, but if so then a plugin would be possible.

I'm looking at these now for a few reasons. Did anyone yet them? So they work visa the hue hub and plugin or do we need with solution?
I've been looking at zigbee2mqtt but not sure if that's needed given I have a hue hub
