Preferred Git client

I didn't see a previous post on this topic. Please redirect if there is one.
------------

What, if any, Git client does everyone use. I've been using Tower for years, but I'm considering alternatives now. Just got a notice for their new version and it's now a subscription model. $55/yr for the Basic version. I get 50% off that since I've purchased a license previously, but that's only for the first year. :(

I have GitKraken, which is free for Open Source development, which covers just about everything I do. If it's not Open Source, it's personal use only. Used it a few times, seems pretty powerful.

GitHub desktop is pretty limited, from what I can tell. Haven't really tried to do much with it.

Several more listed at https://git-scm.com/download/gui/mac

Anyone tried anything else?

Re: Preferred Git client

I use a combination of Github Desktop and the built-in Git integration in PyCharm. But I also don't do pull requests, or anything else other than just syncing repos and checking stuff in to ones I own, so I probably don't use the features you're looking for.

Re: Preferred Git client

I use PyCharm exclusively and am entirely happy with that choice. The subscription model for open source is fantastic.

Create a repo on the GitHub web client, copy the URL, and check out from version control. I’m not sure it could be any more straight forward.
