I'm so confused now... Are we talking about Plugin Prefs, a generic menu item that opens a config UI or are we talking about the Actions UI? Maybe better to ask, where is this config UI - in Devices.xml, Actions.xml, PluginConfig.xml or Menuitems.xml?

Pretty sure it's a ConfigUI dialog from a Menuitems.xml action. Which uses getMenuActionConfigUiValues() to pre-populate UI elements. So the old thread says. I haven't actually ever used this method.

Nor me, but I actually used to have a need for it until HBB became obsolete.

MenuItem ConfigUI saving/loading of values

You guys are both better developers than I am, so I wimped our and reverted to using the plugin config dialog with a menu to go between sections. I’ll post a link to the plugin and/or image of the dialog once I’m done to show you what I was trying to implement. Things are going easier with the config dialog. Thanks for your help with this.
