Create Device - Folder Parameter?

In the IOM documentation for Create Device the parameter for folder is specified as optional or if present is the id or instance of the folder in which to put the newly created device.

I am creating a device which I either want to put in a specific folder or just at the DEVICES level (i.e. not in a folder).

Is there a way of specifying the root folder (e.g. = zero)?

Otherwise AFAICS, I need to duplicate the create statement, one to include the folder parameter and one not to include it. :)

Re: Create Device - Folder Parameter?

It's optional, can't you simply leave it out to create in the root? I'm pretty sure that's what I've done before (but could be wrong).

Re: Create Device - Folder Parameter?

Correct, you can pass None and it should put it at the root level.
