Wish: ThermostatDevice - Extend fanMode for Multi-Speed Fan

Hi.

I'm dabbling with a ThermostatDevice plugin for the Bryant Evolution Connex /. Carrier Infinity HVAC system. One of the key features of the system is variable speed fans. I would appreciate it if you would extend the ThermostatDevice fanMode Class from (AlwaysOn, Auto) to (AlwaysOn [for backwards compatibility], Low, Medium, High, Auto). Always on is not a choice for this system, and substituting a single fan speed in "always on"'s place is limiting.

Thanks for the consideration.

Re: Wish: ThermostatDevice - Extend fanMode for Multi-Speed

Added to the request list, thanks for the feedback.

In the meantime, I think what I'd do in the plugin is add an action to set the fan speed so that the user can control the speed (even though it's not in the built-in UI), and then have the plugin remember the last speed that was set for the fan. Then, when the always on button is used in the built-in UI, it sets it to the last speed setting. Not perfect but probably a good compromise.
