VW Car-net access from a Python script

Hi,
I have come across a project on github that connects to the VW Car-net service.

Anyone that can advice on how to make this run on a mac with Indigo? The script is only reading info, so it is a "read" script. I see that it requires python 3 to run, so I assume I will have to run it like a shell script, and pass the result back to Indigo. Something like the Ivona TTS script I was working on earlier...
