What Indigo version are you running? client version 2021.1.0/server version 2021.1.1
What is the exact macOS version you're using? 12.0.1 (21A559)
Are you are using the client directly on the Mac (no screen sharing)? yes
Is your server local or are you using the Mac client remotely? remote
What mac model and how much memory? MacBook Pro (15-inch, 2016), 16 GB 2133 MHz LPDDR3
Does switching between dark mode and light mode make any difference? no
Are you running any kind of UI modification software? I don't believe so
What 3rd party apps are you running that have icons in the menu bar? iStat, BetterTouchTool, ClamXAV, Cookie, OverSight, BlockBlock, 1Password, CarbonCopyCloner, TextSniper, TextSoap, RetroClip, WireGuard
Quit the Mac client
Delete the prefs files
Start back up
Clearly document exactly what does work and what doesn't, and the exact steps you used to illustrate the problem.
- The Home window Device list view shows all devices, and the draggable divider works, although, after selecting a device, there is a munged bit of text overlap just below the divider (per the earlier screenshot). Note that the client is opening with the Home devices window about half-screen size, on the left.
Quit the client
Start it back up, and again clearly document exactly what does work and what doesn't, and the exact steps you used to illustrate the problem.
- The Home window Device list is truncated about halfway down by the draggable divider, which cannot be dragged down at all (and the cursor switches to the upward facing arrow drag icon when hovering). Selecting devices has no effect whatsoever.

Thanks, but as I posted, I was finally able to reproduce.

So this must be something in your environments which are different from mine. Please answer the following questions:
- What Indigo version are you running?
Client version 2021.1.1.0 (on 2016 MBP)
Client version 2021.1.1.1 (on 2019 MBP)
Server version 2021.1.1.1 (on 2018 Mac mini)
- What is the exact macOS version you're using?
Server: macOS Big Sur 11.6 (20G165) on 2018 Mac mini
Client 1: macOS Monterey 12.0.1 (21A559) on 2016 MacBook Pro
Client 2: macOS Monterey 12.0.1 (21A559) on 2019 MacBook Pro
- Are you are using the client directly on the Mac (no screen sharing)?
Client 1 - both local and via ARD control
Client 2 - local only
- Is your server local or are you using the Mac client remotely?
Server on 2018 mini has not been updated past 11.6, so all issues are with remote clients connecting from Monterey
- What mac model and how much memory?
Server:
2018 Mac mini
3.6GHz quad-core i3
16GB RAM
Client 1:
2016 MacBook Pro
2.9GHz quad-core i7
16GB RAM
Client 2:
2019 MacBook Pro
2.4GH 8-core i9
32GB RAM
- Does switching between dark mode and light mode make any difference?
Not in my testing
- Are you running any kind of UI modification software?
Not really. Some helper apps and tools, but no real UI modifications
- What 3rd party apps are you running that have icons in the menu bar?
On Client 1 (2016 MBP)
iStat Menus
1Password
On Client 2 (2019 MBP)
iStat Menus
Typinator
SnagIt
Dropbox
Divvy
Alfred
Hazel
Pastebot
Creative Cloud
1Password
Client 1 worked just fine under Big Sur and the only change made has been the installation of Monterey a few hours ago. The issue now affects that system same as Client 2 that has been running Monterey betas since the beginning.
I'm also a little unclear on when some things work and when they don't. So, please:
- Quit the Mac client
Done
- Delete the prefs files
Done
- Start back up
Done
- Clearly document exactly what does work and what doesn't, and the exact steps you used to illustrate the problem.
On launch after clearing prefs, I have to enter the address and credentials to connect to the server
All windows behave as expected with the text garbled as seen in the screenshots.
Note here: the windows start off as small as possible when this procedure is done, and resizing the malfunctioning window down to that minimum size thendragging back large has the same net effect. So it seems less like “fixed” and more like “Starting from minimum fixed size works”
- Quit the client
Done
- Start it back up, and again clearly document exactly what does work and what doesn't, and the exact steps you used to illustrate the problem.
On restart, the windows reopen at the resized values from before but the device section is smaller and no device data will appear in it.
I will do a screen recording in a bit to show exactly this

Hi Folks,
If you are already running Monterey on your Indigo Mac, then give this
pre-release version of Indigo 2021.1.2 a try. We believe it should fix the problem.

Works as expected now...thanks Matt & Jay!
The server is still on Big Sur (don't wanna risk the whole thing having issues) just two of my other machines I use to edit are now Monterey so it wasn't a horrible issue to ARD into the server and make changes there.
Once you guys give the green light to update the server machine's OS to Monterey I will.
Thanks!
Ross

Hi matt,
I assume you will post a fix for this issue for the 7.5 version as well?
I am having the same issue on Monterey with 7.5.0

No. We fix bugs in previous Indigo releases that are still supported which are our bugs - not bugs or compatibility issues raised by new macOS releases. One of the features of the Up-to-Date subscriptions is that you will always have access to a version of Indigo that runs on the latest macOS releases (as soon as it's feasible for us to address any issues with those releases).
