macOS Monterey (12.0) Beta 1 - the usual warning

Installed the macOS 12 Monterey beta on my laptop and while surprisingly few apps were affected (SpanSieve, Bartender, etc) I can report that Indigo 7.5 does run in client mode on it. The first launch after installing Monterey the client would not connect to the server, but after I quit and re-launched it...it is working.

It always bears repeating tho...do NOT install this beta on any machines you rely on or have any production-type role.

I always run the latest betas on some of my devices as my role in IT has me supporting this tech when it becomes release, so I like to already know it inside-out.

Anyway...not huge changes in Monterey from a normal-user point, except Safari and the redesign for tabs....that will take some getting used to.

I figured it wouldn't be long before someone asked...so yes, it does work in client mode. No, I'm not going to risk the server by updating. And unless you have alternate devices like I do, I would not recommend upgrading to the betas.

Thanks
Ross

Thanks for the info and warning.

Never run beta OS releases (macOS, iOS, iPadOS) on devices upon which you depend. (just to reiterate... ;) )

Just a quick note: Indigo Touch on iOS15 (first dev beta) is working fine

And, just because it works on THIS beta release, does not mean it work throughout the long list of beta releases between now and the fall.

So I have noticed a few GUI issues with 12.0 beta 1 and Indigo 2021.1

You cannot resize the Device listing window and the info block at the bottom with the resize tool...you can sorta manipulate it with the entire window itself but it is uncontrollable.
I may have to post a screen recording of it because I don't know how to best describe it in words.

Also, when you click on a device, the controls and labeling is off in that section too:
